Some of our favorite Halloween costumes from the Sjaak’s team

Here at Sjaak’s, we pride ourselves on making a quality product that is made from responsibly sourced ingredients and recyclable packaging that helps to reduce our carbon footprint not only for ourselves, but for the environment at large. For many of us, we are encouraged by our furry family members (and I’m not talking about my Italian grandparents!)

We wanted to celebrate our pets and show off some of their Halloween spirit (pun intended). Whether they are dressing up for special events or the regular weekly fashion show that their younger, human sister throw; our pets inspire us every day. Here are some of our favorite looks:

Hamilton

What is your name?
Hamilton the pug

What is the inspiration for the costume?
The treats after the photo

What is your pet’s favorite treat?
In no particular order – apples, bananas and blueberries.

What is your pet’s favorite trick?
A very reliable biological clock. At 5pm everyday, I will sit 6 ft away from my hoomans and stare until I am fed.

Baxter

What is the name of your pet?
Baxter

What is the inspiration for the costume?
We love dress up!

What is your pet’s favorite treat?
Anything he can get his paws on

What is your pet’s favorite trick?
Singing

Rum & Coke

What is the name of your pet?
Rum & Coke (not pictured)

What is the inspiration for the costume?
Everyone in our wedding party wore bowties, so we thought it would be fun to have some for the cats also.

What is your pet’s favorite treat?
They love wet food, and are not picky on the flavor. Rum usually comes running when he hears the “pop” of the can.

What is your pet’s favorite trick?
Rum will “come” like a dog. Coke will hide all day but come out at night when we are in bed. And then, he likes to sit on our heads and purr like a banshee.

Lucca

What is the name of your pet?
Lucca

What is the inspiration for the costume?
Just to see a cute & fluffy ‘gator on the prowl!

What is your pet’s favorite treat?
Lucca doesn’t discriminate when it comes to tasty treats but he especially will come running from all corners of the house when he hears someone getting ice from the fridge.

What is your pet’s favorite trick?
High fives! Mostly to the face when I’m not expecting it

Buddy

What is the name of your pet?
Buddy da Goldaaador !!!

What is the inspiration for the costume?
Friendly Lion! (Honestly, I don’t know. It’s a pretty basic costume).

What is your pet’s favorite treat?
He loves milk bones, apples, and pupaccinos.

What is your pet’s favorite trick?
The puppy eyes. Oh, he’s really good at fist-bumping.
